FEATURES

FIT mounted units consist of a deep groove ball bearing insert and a housing. Insert bearings are sold separate from housings for replacement purposes.

Insert Bearings

Insert bearings are manufactured to exact tolerances and rigorously checked for conformance of materials and workmanship. Standard features include a self aligning O.D. for minor shaft misalignment, double sealing properties for excellent grease retention and contamination resistance, deep raceways and large balls for higher load carrying capacity, and extended inner rings for longer life.

Housings

Standard housings are one piece high tensile strength cast iron available in many different styles and configurations depending on your application. Other available housings include malleable iron, stainless steel, and two-piece pressed steel.

(A) Grease fitting - A grease groove located along the outer ring of the bearing and three grease holes allow relubrication. (Some light duty housings are maintenance free and do not have relubrication features standard). To order relubrication features on these housings add suffix - "G" to part number).

(B) Housing - One piece high tensile strength cast iron housings on standard units. (malleable, stainless, and two piece pressed steel housings available where indicated.)

(C) Seal - Full contact synthetic rubber seals hold grease in.

(D) Slinger - Steel plate slinger for extra contamination protection.

(E) Deep Groove - Races and large balls for higher load carrying capacity.

(F) Xtra-Loc - Set screws with special knurled ends for better shaft holding power.

(G) Self Aligning Surface - allows the bearing to align on a displaced shaft without distorting the seals.
